Getting your Grunge on
This is a small courtyard I found next to the Company Gardens with I am obsessed with. Where we decided to shoot this Edgy AF street style look.
The chair Dan sat on was terrible trying to move it, all the germs we freaked out lol but picked it up with leaves in the end to manoeuvre it. It was just sitting on the wall waiting for us screaming ‘use me’! We had so much fun. It added the perfect touch for this Grunge look. You can follow Danica’s blog to see more fashion inspirations.
I absolutely love the symbolism this image holds. If you look on the right there is an artwork of a woman holding a flower with turquoise spray paint graffitied over her face. I see this as she is in the dark. Not yet sure of who she is in the world, yet people see her appearance as something completely different the darkness of her figure contrasted with the innocence of a flower she is grasping. On the right is Dan a confident young woman holding the flower in the same pose as the woman. Dan is in a door-way which is bricked closed, showing she is stepping out into the world and not looking back. She strives for who she is.
